Testing Flash SkillsLast night for about 15 minutes, I played around with Flash - first time in years. I wanted to make sure I could still
work with Flash. You can see a thumbnail of what I did on the "what's new" page. It's pretty rough but inspires
me to spend a little more time with Flash to produce something more professional down the road. Keep checking back to see
how I progress. -J. Lacey Taylor, Designer

Making This Site More Dynamic, Before Promoting ItFinally, we have our portfolio page set up. With the exception to some size restrictions
on our images, I'm happy to have the images posted and anticipate the coding issues are simple once we get the time to
correct them. After taking a step back to consider the website as a whole,
we feel the site is a bit too neutral and we're currently planning to add some fun photos to add to the look and feel
of the site. Just part of the process. It's good to focus on the details (content of each page) but also remember the
big picture (the look and feel of the whole site).

Portfolio Coming SoonAll of the portfolio files are on a computer we rarely use anymore so we've got
to make it a priority to network the computers and grab the files so that we can create a portfolio page. This is really the
last element we are waiting on before promoting the site. Maybe blogging about it will motivate us to do so. Our listing for the "house for sale" will be deleted soon before promoting the site
as well. It is a wonderful lake front home near NAS JAX. This military base is expected to have 3,000 new jobs in the 2008+
so we might be taking this home off the market soon and wait until the jobs arrive. We imagine a swarm of buyers will be bidding
for the home at that time. We'd like to thank our current clients.
We are grateful to have this opportunity to do the work we love. Thank
you!

Must Blog More!!Sorry we haven't blogged in two weeks. For a blog to work we need to blog more.
Not only does blogging help for creating an incentive to check back with the website frequently to see what's new and
fresh on the minds of the website author, but if written well, it can increase your websites SEO (search engine optimization).
Search engines look for the newest freshest information on a subject and when you write regarding a certain subject in your
blog you might just find that you are ranked high when searching for those keywords ( ie; web design Jacksonville ). Don't
expect immediate results. Web crawlers take 60-70 days to seek out new information (met tags, submittals, blogs, ect.)
on the web. This site is still under construction and promotion of the site
might be delayed as we are receiving leads daily. We've most recently created a private client page where clients can
check the progress of their website from JLaceyDesigns.com. Our current
clients main objective was to have a website that they could then edit themselves after the website was designed and completed.
We now offer the ability for clients to edit the site themselves after project completion. As well as some great features,
such as, live news/weather feeds, easy build forms, payment online, email marketing blasts, ect. I'm thrilled to offer
my clients all of these services, this is a major achievement!
