Do you like those little icons that appear in the url bar next to a website's domain name, next to the website title on browser tabs and next to website names in your bookmarks? Those little icons are called favicons and they are just one of those little details that makes your website special. We recommend that when and if you have the time and/or money, pay attention to the details. Favicons are a great example of something you can do to impress your website audience.

Here is the process if you want to create them for your site.

1. Simply create a 16 X 16 icon that you desire. Save it as a gif.

2. Find a Favicon generator online to convert the image to a .ico format. Name it "favicon.ico"

3. Upload the image to the root of your site. 

4. Add the html code <link rel="shortcut icon" href="www.yourwebsiteurl.com/favicon.ico> to your page and upload the page with the new html code.
