New Look for Summertime & "Going Live" with FPHA.org

Do you like our new look? It was inspired by Summertime. Just before we left for our vacation (I'm referring to photos in my new header) we went "live" with one of my favorite clients websites, FPHA.

Florida Public Health Association was looking for an updated look with new features. We were able to accomplish so much... "Going live" with their new website was a great way to start the summer. With all the effort we put into the website it's nice to step back and enjoy the summer.

I've always noticed a lull in business in the summertime. With some taking time for vacations during June, July and August-this is a time to refocus our energy and direction. Time to step back and plan. I generally notice a surge for business in September/October and then again at the beginning of the New Year. With that in mind, do we take this time to Market, pursue other interest in our field and/or add to our Business Plan? We will see. Check back to see what our new direction is or email me your thoughts.

I look forward to hearing from you.

The Frozen Grapes

TheFrozenGrapes.gifIt shouldn’t have surprised me when my younger brother told me the name of his band was The Frozen Grapes. When I looked around the house I noticed the painting of grapes I painted for my mom one Christmas, and the collection of dancing raisin miniatures on his piano (remember the raisin commercials in the 80s?) along with other art featuring grapes. He says, the name just came to him…maybe subliminally from the artifacts in his home or maybe this was a statement. Either way, the name I feel, shows his sense of humor. His talent on the piano is just another extension of his brilliance. A sister couldn’t be more proud.

When he mentioned his band needed a t-shirt/logo design, I was reluctant to help simply because some artists specialize in this area and I tend to focus on other aspects of design. However, offering this service for free to this new band was another story. I put something together for them in 5 minutes and they liked it…now it’s time to order up the t-shirts. He says their tag line is “we will not thaw”, they want that on the back of the shirt. Cool

Mom inspired us with the idea that The Beatles’ logo was just good typography no graphics. I think it works for The Frozen Grapes too. Email me your thoughts about the design. Since logo design isn't my specialty I'm open to constructive opinions.
